What`s going on here !? This shot captures an anonymous masked spray painter in the act of using Ross`s Drifter as a paint stand !! Seemed like a good idea at the time. Ross was wondering why his wing skins seemed a little pale !! Oh and please, don`t try this at home . ( Staged shot for Ross`s benefit !!)

Meanwhile back at the field an unknown vandal is caught in the act of applying graffiti to John`s Jabaroo !!Actually the guy behind the camera was the real culprit but that is another story !!
On arrival at Narromine our first priority was to set up camp. Here we see the lads from the Clifton flying group kicking back after a hard day in the saddle !! It`s a tough life but I guess someone has to do it !

Overnight a storm front came through dropping 30mm of rain. There goes our chances of making Narromine we thought. Not to be out done our host Tony brought on a custom built trailer for just such an occasion !! This shot shows Bundy the blue heeler supervising the shift from machinery shed to the somewhat dryer airstrip. Two hours later we were on our way. Thanks Tony !!

We overnighted on a friends property at Gunnedah. Many thanks Tony and Gail for your hospitality. It will long be remembered !!
The Karatoo is shown here safe and sound hangared in Tony`s machinery shed along with our companion John`s Jabaroo.
First stop Texas with a bit of a wait as Ross who drove the first leg in the Falcon catches up. A great strip here with the council having just resurfaced it in time for our arrival !! Thanks chaps, jolly decent of you !!

Funny how some aircraft continually get in the way of the camera!! I just can`t resist a great paint scheme !!

We had a good number of aircraft arrive for the breakfast. Dianne and I were really blown away to think that so many would arrive considering my cooking !!

This shot was taken at our recently held invitational breakfast. A lovely morning with friends !!

A classic little aeroplane : The J6 Karatoo designed by Jesse Anglin.

This is a pic of me and my dad. Dad is the chief judge for the ultralight awards and his decision is always final. Here he is presenting me with the award for World's Best Ultralight for Non-family Members. What a surprise - and it only cost me a beer !
